The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) and the Office of Career and Technical Education (OCTE) do not mandate specific curricula for course content. Instead, we require that the standards be taught, allowing schools and districts the autonomy to select instructional materials that best meet their students' needs while ensuring alignment with those standards.
The LAPSEN National Conference will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and takes place in conjunction with ACTE CareerTech VISION. This event brings together Law and Public Safety educators from across the country to share resources, instructional strategies, and emerging trends in LPS education.
The current schedule includes pre-conference sessions on Monday, November 30, followed by the main conference sessions on December 1–2.
