Annual Summer Conference Information
Who:
The conference is designed for Kentucky Career and Technical Education (CTE) professionals, including teachers, administrators, and industry partners, across all program areas.
What:
The KACTE Summer Program is an annual professional development conference offering high-quality workshops, networking opportunities, and resources to support CTE educators. Attendees gain access to best practices, industry trends, and innovative instructional strategies to enhance student success.
When:
The conference takes place each summer with specific dates and schedules available on the KACTE Summer Conference Website.

2026: July 20-23 (Monday-Thursday

Below is the link for the overflow hotel at the Embassy Suites, 501 South Fourth Street. I do encourage you to check the Galt House for any rooms available due to cancellations. King Suites and Queen Suites are available.
Hotel Reservations
Call The Galt House Hotel at 800-843-4258 to make room reservations. In order to receive the convention rates, please use Group Code: 071325KAC when making your reservations by phone. Reservations must be made by Jun. 27, 2025.

Rates do not include parking.
West Tower – Deluxe Guestrooms: $172 per night
East Tower – Executive Suites: $192 per night
Day of Arrival Information: Galt House has both hotel registration desks open. There is one in the east tower and one in the west tower. Check in time is 3:00 p.m. and check out time is 11:00 a.m. At the time of check in, please inquire about housekeeping.
Registration confirmations will be sent to the email you included during registration. If you are showing a balance, please inquire with your finance office. Checks have not been received for counselors, Alt-Ed, and NTI registrations. Please have a copy of your confirmation at conference registration to pick up your credentials.
Conference registration check-in/badge pick-up is located on the 2nd floor of the east tower in the Grand Hall.

Fire Science Pre-Conference (Late Morning-Afternoon) 11:30-2:00 p.m., Fern Creek High School, 9115 Fern Creek Road, Louisville, KY 40291
Title: Introduction to the Fire Sprinkler Industry.
Description: This course is designed to provide an introduction to persons interested in learning more about our favorite industry and life-saving systems - fire sprinklers!
Law Enforcement Pre-Conference (Morning) 9:30-11:30 a.m., The Galt House-1st Floor, Meeting Room: LAFFOON
Title: DOCJT Telecommunications
Description: Gain practical communication techniques and participate in exercises to demonstrate the importance of effective communication for telecommunicators.
Law Enforcement Pre-Conference (Afternoon) 1:00-4:00 p.m., The Galt House-1st Floor, Meeting Room: LAFFOON
Title: Crisis Intervention Training (CIT), Trauma-Informed Care & Crisis Communication
Description: Learn a trauma-informed care approach to working with individuals exposed to trauma and effective crisis communication techniques, with hands-on opportunities.
Conference Dates: July 28-31 (Monday-Thursday)

The evaluation instrument used by the Kentucky Association of Career and Technical Education (KACTE) will be emailed after the annual statewide CTE summer program evaluation to the email address provided at registration. All responses will be reviewed and used to develop the 2026 CTE summer program.
Once you have completed and submitted the evaluation, a certificate of attendance/participation will be emailed.
It is up the individual districts to award the number of professional development hours.
