Zdravotnická škola Hradec Králové is situated in a historical building in the centre of Hradec Králové in the east of Bohemia, 100 km east of Prague. It has a population of about 100,000 inhabitants. There are about 990 students – mostly girls – and a team of 60 teachers. The school offers both academic and vocational education. It prepares its students for careers in social services and various health institutions. 4-year Secondary Medical School provides education for students at the age of 15 - 19. The students are prepared for professions such as practical nurses, dental assistants, laboratory assistants, and health assistants. Many students continue their studies at universities. Medical College prepares qualified general nurses, pharmacy assistants, dental technicians and laboratory assistants. Our school has actively participated in European grants before so our teachers are experienced in this area. We were administrators of eTwinning pages of the previous project so we have lots of knowledge to share. We are very motivated to participate in this project because it focuses on improving digital education at schools. During different workshop students will create digital games and in this way they will learn new applications and methods. . In each international workshop, we a "digital escape room" will be organised. Students will solve problems and find clues to get out of the room. For solving the problems, they need to use ICT skills that they will learn and adopt in the workshop or earlier in the project. Teachers will also evaluate their digital skills and learn to use digital technology more effectively. These skills are especially important during distance learning which became part of our school education during coronavirus time. Different countries provide different approaches and solutions for distance education. Also, resources for distance education differ a lot among countries. Thus, teachers will gather all the experiences of distance learning in European countries and we will share good practices and make suggestions to improve digital education and distance learning in European schools.
