Teachers conducted self-assessments, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and developmental needs for distance learning. This became particularly crucial due to the coronavirus pandemic, which led to the temporary closure of almost all schools in Europe. Various schools and countries adopted diverse approaches and solutions for distance education, and resource discrepancies were evident among schools/counties. Consequently, we collated experiences of distance learning during the pandemic within our partnership. Drawing from these experiences, we formulated suggestions for the future — guidance on educating school staff and students to ensure efficient learning in both normal and exceptional conditions. We published an e-book written by teachers, which contains information on organizing distance learning in different countries during the pandemic. The book includes the strengths and weaknesses of the period of remote education. This information can be utilized in the future for staff training and preparedness for similar exceptional circumstances.
Our teachers` book:
In addition to teachers' e-book, we published an e-book containing students' work: stories about local cultures, including tales, significant places, people and legends/myths. Students used their different skills, like their writing skills, digital skills (toonytool.com, www.canva.com, www.postermywall.com, scrach.mit.edu, Google Slides, Google Docs etc.), creativity. The book also includes descriptions of "digital escape rooms" implemented in our international workshops.
