IB Hvitfeldtska Policies:
The IB is a special form of education and it is governed by our internal school policies, which are quality checked by the IB organisation through its system of authorisation and consequent evaluation visits. It is everyone's responsibility to become familiar with the policies we have, their general contents, and how to reference them when needed.
Further, the Pre-Diploma year is technically not part of the IB Diploma Program, which is only the final two years. This means it is governed by Swedish School Law, yet also enhanced by our policies in the IB, especially when it comes to subject eligibility, selection, and final placement in preparation for entering the Diploma Program as a Full Diploma Candidate or Course Candidate.
Not all IB Diploma Program Schools have the same policies! But all policies must be in alignment with IB Standards and Practices. For this reason, it is important to famliarize yourself with the particular nuances of Hvitfeldtska's IB school policies.
You will find the IB Policies all authorized schools must have on separate pages followed by a form that asks you to sign that you have read and understood them. If you need clarification about any of them, there is a place on the form to indicate this. The 5 required policies to have as an IB school are:
1-Admission policy (Admissions)
2-Academic Integrity Policy
3-Assessment Policy
4-Inclusion Policy
5-Language Policy
The school is also required to have a Complaints Procedure and you find that as a page on this website also.
