Young people 12 or older can make requests for mental health support by themselves, but it's usually much better to do this with a trusted adult. This could be a guidance teacher, a youth worker or a class teacher that you get on well with. Choose someone you feel comfortable talking to and they can find all the information they need to help you by following this link -> Professionals
Or you can ask a trusted adult from home to do it, they just need to email cypspa@eastlothian.gov.uk and tell us a lttle about what's going on. One of the team will get in touch and take it from there.
If you are 12 or older and you want to access mental health support without going through a trusted adult, you can email us yourself at cypspa@eastlothian.gov.uk and one of our mental health youth workers will get in touch with you to have a chat about what you need.
Are you 10 or older? We have a service you can access without a referral. It's an online service called "Kooth". You can access tons of self help and even have text based conversations with a trained mental health practitioner.
