In the beginning of the lesson we completed a quiz about
-> which technologies or digital tools we remember have disappeared now
-> if we prefer reading articles on paper or eRead
-> which activities or skills have changed due to advancements in technology
The behavior of humans is changing
Evolution=adaptation
we lose something and we gain something else e.g reading
Besides the time that plays a role in evolution, another factor is location and geography- different parts of the world have different policies
skillset, readiness of the user are factors that are influeneced by policies and access
We need to prepare people to be adaptive
because emerging technologies that we're being taught today will not be emergent in 5 years
We tend to overestimate what we know
"Valley of dispair"

The same happens with technology
"Technology Hype Dunning-Kruger Effect"
Reflection Activity
List the digital technologies that you often use in daily life
When did you get the first device of each digital technology
How different are they in comparison with the current devices of the same technology that you have? (e.g first phone vs current phone)
Evolution happens bit by bti and we dont recognize it
-> Think of bloom's taxonomy in combination with technology
technology designed for education sometimes lacks of educational perspective
OR it has too much educational perspective and lacks of usability / user-friendliness
In order for the EdTech product to work, the two worlds (technolgoy, learning) have to be combined
The faster the technology moves, the larger the digital divides become
