Online Record Book: www.onlinerecordbook.org

The Online Record Book (ORB) is the digital system by which you record your activities and Award Leaders keep track of your progress. All sections (Skills, Voluntary Service, Physical Recreation and Adventurous Journey) must be recorded in the Online Record Book. Each activity must be logged for the correct period of time, and upon completion you can request ‘Award Leader Sign Off’.

Recording Your Award

  1. Register an account on the ORB, and then you are allocated an ‘Award Leader’.
  2. Think about which activities you'd like to do, and speak with your Award leader for advice and approval.
  3. Find someone (not a relative) who is an expert in your chosen activity (such as a coach) - they will be your Assessor for that activity.
  4. Clear your Assessor choice with your Award Leader and record your Assessors' details in the relevant section of the ORB .
  5. Do the activities regularly - approximately 1 hour for each activity per week.
  6. Log your activities in the ORB and follow your progress on the progress bar
  7. Once the activity has been completed, request for an assessor report to be completed (this is done electronically through the ORB)
  8. Once you've completed all four sections, you Award Leader will contact The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Foundation to authorise your Bronze Award.
