There are about 450 students, 42 teachers, 4 special needs teachers, 8 special needs assistants, 2 guidance councellors, a socialworker, a school nurse, a doctor, and a psychologist in our school.
Our schedule is 30 hours/week from 7.55 to 13.50. There are 15 minute breaks between classes and a 30 minute lunch break. There’s a possibility to have breakfast and buy snacks. We have free lunch, school books and buses. We have free after school clubs including music, arts, maths, crafts and sports.
The following subjects include to the basic education to all students:
Finnish, Swedish, foreign languages, environmental studies, health education, religion, history, social studies
mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, geography, physical education, music, visual arts, cratfs, home economies, Special needs education
Levels of support:
remedial teaching/tutoring, intensified support, special needs education
Special needs students study in basic education groups and part-time in special education groups. They have there own curriculums in certain subjects.
