‼️IMPORTANT ‼️Changes to Federal Student Aid as of July 1, 2026

All seniors must either complete the FAFSA or an opt-out form after seeing a presentation.
If a student has a scholarship that covers the full cost of attendance, then they are NOT eligible for a Pell grant.
If a student's SAI (Student Aid Index) is double the maximum Pell grant amount, then the student is NOT eligible for a Pell grant. SAI=14790 or more, no Pell grant

Are you ready to file the FAFSA?

Seniors: You and/or your parents will need an FSA ID before you can fill out the FAFSA! You will use the same account every year. If your parent had an ID for themselves or another student, they do not need to create another.

A step-by-step guide can be found on the KHEAA website, which is linked below. If you would prefer assistance in filing the FAFSA, please attend a FAFSA event at the high school or contact Mrs. Madison for one-on-one help.

FAFSA Completion Guide for the 2026-2027 school year

After you successfully submit your FAFSA it is important to check your emails and/or MyKHEAA account in case you have been selected for verification. It is common to receive a verification notice. You will need to follow the directions in your email. If you do not follow the directions for verification you will not be able to attend college.
