Welcome to the ECHS AmeriCorps Kentucky College Coaches Program website!
The AmeriCorps Kentucky College Coaches Programs mentors first-generation students, who also qualify for free/reduced lunch, from grades 9-12 on colleges and careers. There is limited spaces available. There are no fees to become a member of the program and once the permission forms have been turned in and approved the student is a member for the rest of their high school career. There is no need to sign up every year.

September 15, 2026 - College App Day: 9:00-12:00 ECHS Library
October 19, 2026 - FAFSA Day: 8:00-12:00 ECHS Library
November 5, 2026 - Sophomores will create KHEAA accounts during their English class
December 8, 2026 - 9:00am Freshmen will learn about earning KEES money
January 12, 2027 - FAFSA Day: 8:00-12:00 ECHS Library
March 23, 2027 - College Match Day: All juniors will explore college options during a class activity.
April 30, 2027 - Decision Day: A celebration of senior decisions!

Seniors: After you have filled out the FAFSA, check your personal email in case your account needs verification. Approximately 1 out of 3 students will be chosen for verification.
KCC Seniors: Make sure you are keeping Mrs. Madison up to date on college acceptances and ALL scholarship offers.
KCC students, PLEASE join the KCC Google Classroom. It is used for information purposes. Occasionally I will post surveys and sign up sheets that are optional.
