  1. Watch this video to learn about more baby animals. Read Aloud
  2. Login to Pebble Go and choose an animal to research.

  3. Think about how adults and babies of your chosen animal are alike and different.
  4. Create a venn diagram comparing adults and babies of your chosen animal.

Social Studies

Learning Goal:

  • I can identify the roles of producers and consumers.

  1. Watch this video explaining producers and consumers
  2. Watch this video to review Goods and Services on BrainPop Jr. *Some schools/students have this in Clever. All others will need to create a parent account.
  3. Read to learn more about producers and consumers.
  4. Play a game! Identify the producers and consumers.
  5. Scavenger hunt: can you find consumers and producers in a newspaper or magazine.
  6. Additional ideas:
    • With a magazine, newspaper, or book, find producers and consumers and glue or draw them into two columns on a piece of paper.
    • Play time: Become a Producer! Setup your own market and sell items of your choice to the consumer.
    • Take a picture of your producer and consumer items, pictures, or list and send it to your teacher via email or SeeSaw!

STEM

Learning Goal:

I can develop a physical model based on information from a text.

Estimated Time for The Week:

45 minutes - 1 hour

Materials:

  • Empty toilet paper rolls
  • Popsicle sticks
  • Cardboard
  • Paper
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Small stuffed animal
  • Crayons, markers, paint

Learn & Practice:

  1. Listen to the story Everything You Need for a Treehouse.
  2. Observe the different types of treehouses presented in the story and sketch your own design.
  3. Using recyclable and craft materials from around your house, build your treehouse model.
  4. When you are confident your design is sturdy, decorate it with crayons, markers, and/or paint.
