Below, you will find additional information about creating a Google Meet, host controls, and ending a Google Meet. For more information and detailed step-by-step instructions, check out the Google Meet page on this website by clicking the orange button to the left!
One way to create a Google Meet is through https://meet.google.com/
Click "New Meeting"
Then Select "Create a Meeting for Later"
This will give you a link to share with others
OR
Enter a nickname (could be your name or something with relevance to your class)
Click "Join," check your microphone and camera, then click "Join Now"
Copy the information on the bottom left to share with your students, or share the Nickname you created.
When you are in a Google Meet, you can find host controls at the bottom right of your screen (symbol looks like a lock). We encourage you to use these to control what permissions your students will have during your meet. Please leave "Host must join before anyone else" toggled "ON" to protect your meet!
At the end of the Google Meet, you must select "End the call for everyone." This ensures that students cannot continue the Meet after you have left the call.
