Career Tools is a website designed to provide young people with information to assist them as they consider their future career options.
The Education Directorate has extended access to Career Tools to young people registered for ACT home education.
You can access some of the information contained on the page without a log on; however, if you would like your child to complete the career planning tasks or access the virtual work experience options, they will need a student log in. We can also create parent accounts.
Please contact the Home Ed team at homeed@gov.au if you would like a student and/or parent log on.

The AIE hosts entertainment courses including Filmmaking, 3D Animation, Game Art & Animation, Game Design & Production, and Game Programming. You can access beginner courses as well Certificates and Diplomas. See here for the courses offered at the Canberra Campus. Please note that they also offer School Holiday courses.
Year 13 gives you access to a range of industries to explore career options in, virtual work experience opportunities, as well as life skills modules. You can complete study modules, read articles about relevant industry news, and listen to podcasts about what the jobs you are looking at really entail.

Developed by Volunteering ACT, download the three toolkits for youth volunteers, their support people, and their managers. The site explains the benefits of volunteering as well as the restrictions around age and hours that can be completed per day.
