4K families will have the option to attend school in a traditional in-person setting or choose from a virtual option. These options will be available for students to fluidly move from one option to the next. Attendance in-person will allow for appropriate physical/social distancing. Instruction regarding hygiene and physical/social distancing will continue throughout the year.
While practicing frequent sanitization habits, implementing physical/social distancing and creatively scheduling staggered traffic flow through the building each day, cohorts of students will be assigned to the regular classroom setting.
All 4K students will be assigned to a Google Classroom. Teachers will maintain the pacing and fidelity of the 4K curriculum offered in the traditional in-person classroom setting. Students may be assigned Chromebooks to access online lessons, upload completed work and confer with a teacher. This option provides families the opportunity to return to the traditional classroom setting throughout the school year.
Face coverings will be worn by staff and students.
Strategic entrance and exiting procedures will be implemented at individual 4K sites.
Lockers and cubbies will be used by classroom cohorts of students. Teachers will stagger the use of lockers to account for physical/social distancing.
Established one-way traffic patterns in hallways will limit student exposure as they move about the building.
4K staff will continue to clean and sanitize classrooms with a particular focus on high use areas. Staff will disinfect between classes and students will use hand sanitizer prior to exiting a classroom.
After each school day, the entire classroom will be thoroughly sanitized.
