Today was the first day of the cruise! Once we got to the first site at about 14:30, we all learned how to use the CTD and shipek. Then, my shift didn't start until 12am so I went back to sleep. I woke up in time for the sunset and we got to see a pod of spotted dolphins (video below). I've never seen a spotted dolphin before, so this was super super cool! Plus the ocean was like glass and absolutely stunning. I def recommend waking up for sunset!
