Good afternoon,
LKS2 have had a great first week back after half term. We started the week with a fantastic DT day where the children learnt how to strengthen structures using girders, struts and beams. We unpicked the features found in diaries in English and then had a go at writing a diary entry from the perspective of a Roman soldier. In History, we looked at how the Romans changed Britain, looking at their different amenities and how these compare to ours today.
Creative Curriculum: This week we will be looking at how and why the Romans left Britain.
Maths Year 3 - We are continuing to work on the column method and will begin to subtract.
Maths Year 4 - We are moving onto our understanding and manipulating multiplicative relationships unit.
PE Year 3 - We are continuing with our orienteering topic in PE.
PE Year 4 - Children will be swimming on Wednesday and will need their PE kits on Friday.
PSHE Year 3- We are continuing our new topic of ‘Healthy me’. This week we are looking at making healthy food choices.
PSHE Year 4-We are continuing our topic of ‘Healthy me’. This week we are looking at friendship group dynamics.
Homework has been set today and is due in next Friday.
