Good afternoon,
Teams Calder and Loxley have had another super week and have really impressed us with their work on linking percentages to fractions and decimals.
Next week:
English: We will be completing our independent writing of a Welcome Guidebook for a refugee arriving at our school.
Maths: We will be converting units of measure.
Curriculum: We will be using fieldwork to observe, measure, record and present human and physical features in the local area.
Science: The children will be investigating how voltage affects the volume of a buzzer.
PSHE: The children will be comparing their own lives with the lives of people in the developing world and thinking about how to appreciate the value of happiness regardless of material wealth.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the school office.
Thank you for your continued support,
Mrs Lazenby and Miss Austwick
P.E. is on now on Thursday and Friday. Children need to come dressed in PE kit for the whole day. Children need to wear a pair of plain black or navy blue jogging bottoms or shorts, a plain white t-shirt and a plain black or navy blue hoodie. Children need to wear suitable shoes for PE (trainers or plimsolls).
Homework will be set this week.
If children cannot access the internet at home, sheets can be requested for homework.
Reading: The children will be expected to read a minimum of 3 times a week, ideally to a grown-up. This needs to be recorded in their reading records.
Spelling: The children will be expected to play a minimum of 5 games of the set spelling rule on EdShed.
Maths: The children will have a task set on My Maths.
