Dear Families
What an absolutely fantastic Sports Day we had! The sun shone brightly, and the children made us all feel incredibly proud. It was truly a joy to see all the children participate with such enthusiasm and demonstrate incredible sportsmanship throughout the day.
The day wouldn't have been possible without the incredible dedication of our staff. A huge thank you to all the teachers for their careful planning and commitment in making sure everything ran smoothly. This made all the difference! Thank you also to all of our wonderful parents and carers who supported the day and willingly took part in the parent race, always an aspect of the day we love!
We also extend our gratitude to FOSHA (Friends of Staynor Hall) for their invaluable contribution. Their hard work in setting up and providing drinks was very much appreciated.
Have a lovely weekend, with very best wishes
Mrs Winter
If you have a concern about the safety or welfare of a child in school please contact myself,
Mr Metcalfe or Mrs Danbury who are the safeguarding leads.
Please can we ask that your child does not ride their bikes or scooters on the school grounds.
Children are not play on the wooden trim trail before and after school.
Children are not play football on the field and playground before or after school.
As the school continues to grow the playground is getting busier and busier and it is important we keep everyone safe.
We would also like to encourage parents and children to not cross roads where visibility is reduced to ensure that roads are clear before crossing.

What's Cooking?
Team Humber continued to work in Cook School this week. They have enjoyed making more Victoria Sponge which they will share with some visitors from another school next week. The children were able to use a range of cooking techniques, including measuring, weighing, mixing, beating, baking and had the opportunity to sample a cupcake at the end of the lesson.
Whilst working in Cook School, they learnt about the origin of the Victoria Sponge and chatted about what foods were available back in Victorian times. They also learnt about seasonality and where some of our ingredients may have come from. All of the children worked really hard and I know their cakes are going to be amazing when we share them with our visitors.
I will work with Team Humber again next week so we can complete the Victoria Sponges - we need enough for 140 people!
I will also start cooking with Team Calder as we have the Summer Fayre fast approaching and we will need lots of goodies to sell. We sold out last year so we are hoping that this year will be just as successful.
