Team calder (year 5)

Good afternoon, 

Team Calder have been working really hard this week and have impressed me with the wonderful writing they have produced.

Maths and spelling homework has been set this week. Please let me know if you need homework printing.

Next week:

On Monday, we have our trip to Selby High School.

On Thursday, our friends from Horton Park Primary School are visiting us for the day and we will be doing some paired and team activities.

Friday is a non-uniform in exchange for a tombola prize.

English: We will be writing a recount based on our trip to Selby High School.

Maths: We will be continuing our learning on fractions.

Curriculum: We will be continuing our new topic on ‘When is Mother Earth not kind’ and we will be looking where earthquakes and tsunamis happen.

PSHE- we will be accessing their RSE learning- please see ParentHub for additional information.

P.E is now every Monday and Thursday. Children need to come dressed in PE kit for the whole day. Children need to wear a pair of plain black or navy blue jogging bottoms or shorts, a plain white t-shirt and a plain black or navy blue hoodie. Children need to wear suitable shoes for PE (trainers or plimsolls).
