WEEKLY UPDATE
Dear Parents and Carers,
This week we have been exploring the story ‘Luna Loves Art’. The children thoroughly enjoyed looking at the various pieces of artwork featured in the book and sharing which ones they liked most and why. Their thoughtful observations and opinions sparked some fantastic conversations about art!
Inspired by the story, the children learned sketching techniques and created their own beautiful versions of Yayoi Kusama's iconic pumpkins. Their creativity and attention to detail were fantastic to see!
In Phonics, we’ve been working hard on reading longer words and practising blending sounds in our heads to build fluency and confidence.
In Maths, the focus has been on subitising – quickly recognising small quantities without counting – and developing subtraction facts within 5. The children have enjoyed using practical resources and games to deepen their understanding.
We’re so proud of all their hard work and enthusiasm this week!
Just a reminder it is Sports Day on Wednesday.
Thank you for your continued support.
Have a lovely weekend!
