Good afternoon,
This week the children finished completing all of their challenge papers and we are so proud of them for trying their very best! In English, we wrote the middle section of our narrative based on the short film La Luna, using invented commas for speech. On Thursday, the children showed incredible determination and self belief during Sports Day and it was a fantastic day celebrating Physical Education!
Next week:
English: We will be writing paragraph 3 of our story inspired by the video ‘La Luna’, using apostrophes for possession.
Creative curriculum: We will be looking at the question ‘What did the Anglo Saxons believe?’
Maths: We will be continuing our learning on non unit fractions.
Year 3 & 4 PE: Children need to come dressed in PE kit on Tuesday & Friday. Children need to wear a pair of plain black or navy blue jogging bottoms or shorts, a plain white t-shirt and a plain black or navy blue hoodie. Children need to wear suitable shoes for PE (trainers or plimsolls).
Year 3 PSHE: We will look at some of the changes that happen between being a baby and a child.
Year 4 PSHE: We will be looking at that change is a normal part of life and that some cannot be controlled and have to be accepted.
Homework is set on a Friday and is due in the following Friday.
Reading: The children will be expected to read a minimum of 3 times a week, ideally to a grown-up.
Spelling: The children will be expected to play a minimum of 5 games of the set spelling rule on EdShed.
Maths: The children will have a task set on My Maths.
Children are expected to access TT Rockstars or timestables.co.uk a minimum of 3 times a week.
If children cannot access the internet at home, sheets can be requested for homework.
