WEEKLY NEWSLETTER

Dear Families,
We are into our final few weeks of the summer term with lots of activities due to take place. During this time we continue to work hard to maintain good levels of attendance in school and we still have all of our classes working towards a non-uniform day for when their class completes their 'attendance' word. We thank you for supporting us with this because we know that 'everyday counts'.
Children in Y5 and Y6 have had a wonderful day at Armley Mills this week. Our children are always such great ambassadors for our school and this week was no different, many of the staff at the museum commented on the positive attitude and respect the children were demonstrating. Thank you to each and everyone of them, we are so proud of you all.
Have a lovely weekend, with warm wishes
Mrs Winter
As a polite reminder if your child is in after school club, can you please collect your children on time. We do understand there are instances where delays are unavoidable but would ask that you collect on time as we staff the unit in accordance with the number of children booked in and it is important that we stick to the ratios.
When your child attends After School please can we remind you to collect promptly before your session time ends.
This is due to staff:pupil numbers and to keep everyone safe it is important we adhere to these ratios.

What's Cooking?
I have been working with children from Team Humber this week, making some delicious cupcakes in preparation for our annual Summer Fayre which will be held on Friday 21st June. Our cakes sold out last year so we will be making extra this year so please come along and support us at this fundraising event.
Also, just before we broke up for the holidays, our very lucky competition winners came to cook school to make their Supercrunch. What a fantastic afternoon we had! All the children enjoyed chopping up some fruit and making their supercrunch breakfast pots. Some couldn't wait to try them whilst others wanted to take them home to show their family members. A select few did both!
Well done to all of you. You really deserved all the fun we had that afternoon.
Next week I will be working with Team Swale - I will keep what we are doing as a surprise! Watch this space!

Over the last two weeks, Mr Willson has worked with the wellbeing ambassadors to create bespoke assemblies focusing on bullying for KS1 and KS2. The assemblies focused on identifying what bullying is, who our safe adults are in school and what to do if you feel this is happening.
