Team HUMBER (year 6)

Good afternoon, 

The children have had a wonderful week learning about different religions and cultures: we've done taste testing, visited the Grand Mosque and found out that Ms Steunou is French! It has been so wonderful to immerse ourselves in different ways of life. 

There is no homework set this week. The next homework will be set after half term. 

Next week: 

Tuesday, Selby High will be visiting school to meet those children who will be starting there in September. 

English: we will be writing stories for the Dogs' Trust, which use speech to show what a character is like and to advance the action. 

Reading: we will be starting a new book, called The Brokenspectre. 

Curriculum: we will be looking at the Brazilian artist Vik Muniz, who uses mixed media to create pictures and collage.
