Reception (Nidd & Swale)

WEEKLY UPDATE

Dear Parents and Carers,

We've had a fantastic week in Reception! The children have been busy writing emails to warn Mrs. Winter about the Evil Pea. They have shown great effort in their independent writing skills. 

Next week, we'll be stepping into the shoes of scientists as we design and create traps to catch the mischievous Evil Pea. It's going to be an exciting week of exploration and creativity. 

In Maths we will be learning to use rekenreks to subitize numbers 1-6. 

Just a polite to remember to bring your child’s book bag to school every day so that we can carry out our reading groups & change books. 

Please keep an eye out in your child’s book bag as we will be sending home some handwriting practice sheets as we begin to prepare the children for the transition to Year 1.
