Good afternoon, 

The children have had a brilliant week and have worked extremely hard on their independent writes. 

Writing

Next week the children are writing a mini fact file for Mrs Winter based on everything we have learnt about China.

Maths

Year 1 will be learning about pennies and how many make a value such as 10p.

Year 2 will be beginning a new topic of fractions and recapping money.

Homework

3 x reading - we ask your child to read three times a week at home and record this in your reading record. 

We also encourage your child to 'read for pleasure' at home. This can come in the form of story books, chapter books, information texts, magazines, ebooks. Please add any additional reading to your child's reading record as we love seeing the variety of texts your child is accessing out of school.
