Good afternoon,
Team Humber have been absolute superstars this week. They have given their all in their assessments and I am very proud of them.
The children have also been very interested in our new topic ‘What makes a home?’, where they have been finding out about why someone may choose to flee their home.
Next week:
English: we will be continuing our diary entry based on a refugees journey.
Maths: we will be learning about shapes and their angles.
Curriculum: we will be starting our new unit of learning called 'What makes a home?'. The children will be learning about why people migrate.
Science: the children will be starting their unit on electricity and will be using symbols to represent a simple circuit in a diagram
PSHE: we will be looking at reasons why people may display bullying behaviour and how to deal with this.
P.E is on Tuesday and Friday. Children need to come dressed in PE kit for the whole day. Children need to wear a pair of plain black or navy blue jogging bottoms or shorts, a plain white t-shirt and a plain black or navy blue hoodie. Children need to wear suitable shoes for PE (trainers or plimsolls).
Homework will be set this week.
Reading: The children will be expected to read a minimum of 3 times a week, ideally to a grown-up. This needs to be recorded in their reading records.
Spelling: The children will be expected to play a minimum of 5 games of the set spelling rule on EdShed.
Maths: The children will have a task set on My Maths.
Children are expected to access TTRockstars a minimum of 3 times a week.
Thank you for your continued support,
Mrs Danbury
