Good afternoon,
Teams Calder and Loxley have had a great week and have really really impressed us with their maturity towards our new topic on refugees.
Next week:
English: We will be continuing our diary entry based on a refugees journey.
Maths: We will be continuing our work on fractions.
Curriculum: The children will be learning about what happens when someone is forced to leave their home?
Science: The children will be starting their unit on electricity and will be using symbols to represent a simple circuit in a diagram.
PSHE: We will be learning about how rumour-spreading and name-calling can be bullying behaviours
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the school office.
Thank you for your continued support,
Mrs Lazenby and Miss Austwick
Homework will be set this week.
If children cannot access the internet at home, sheets can be requested for homework.
Reading: The children will be expected to read a minimum of 3 times a week, ideally to a grown-up. This needs to be recorded in their reading records.
Spelling: The children will be expected to play a minimum of 5 games of the set spelling rule on EdShed.
Maths: The children will have a task set on My Maths.
Children are expected to access TTRockstars a minimum of 3 times a week.
