Team HUMBER (year 6)

Good afternoon, 

Team Humber loved their art day, where we looked at creating images linked to the Olympics in the style of Banksy. 

Next week: 

English: we will be continuing our persuasive writing based on visiting sites in Ancient Greece.

Maths: we will be learning about proportion. 

Curriculum: children will be finding out whether daily life in ancient Greece was similar to modern day.

Science: we will be carrying out an investigation based on solubility and fair testing. 

P.E is on Tuesday and Friday. Children need to come dressed in PE kit for the whole day. Children need to wear a pair of plain black or navy blue jogging bottoms or shorts, a plain white t-shirt and a plain black or navy blue hoodie. Children need to wear suitable shoes for PE (trainers or plimsolls).  

Homework will be set this week.

Reading: The children will be expected to read a minimum of 3 times a week, ideally to a grown-up. This needs to be recorded in their reading records.

Spelling: The children will be expected to play a minimum of 5 games of the set spelling rule on EdShed. 

Maths: The children will have a task set on My Maths.

Children are expected to access TTRockstars a minimum of 3 times a week.
