Team calder & Loxley (year 5)

Good afternoon, 

Teams Calder and Loxley really enjoyed their art day, where we looked at creating images linked to the Olympics in the style of Banksy.

Next week:

Friday will be our DT day where we will be designing a game based on Greek trivia.

English: we will be continuing our persuasive writing based on visiting sites in Ancient Greece.

Maths: We will be continuing our work on fractions.

Curriculum: children will be finding out whether daily life in ancient Greece was similar to modern day.

Science: we will be carrying out an investigation based on solubility and fair testing. 

Homework will be set this week.

If children cannot access the internet at home, sheets can be requested for homework. 

Reading: The children will be expected to read a minimum of 3 times a week, ideally to a grown-up. This needs to be recorded in their reading records.

Spelling: The children will be expected to play a minimum of 5 games of the set spelling rule on EdShed. 

Maths: The children will have a task set on My Maths.

Children are expected to access TTRockstars a minimum of 3 times a week.
