WEEKLY UPDATE

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have had a lovely week in Reception! 🌟

The children have continued to learn to retell the story The Three Billy Goats Gruff using actions. They have also been busy innovating the story by creating their own characters and changing parts of the tale — lots of fantastic imagination and creativity on show!

Thank you so much for all the support you give at home with phonics and reading — it really does make a big difference. We have sent home some learning in book bags linked to one of our new trigraphs, focusing on letter formation and handwriting practice.

In Maths, we have been learning about the numbers 6 and 7, using our knowledge of 5 and then adding 1 or 2 more. The children have been working hard and showing great confidence with their counting.
