Good afternoon,
This week, in English we have continued to look at persuasive writing and written some super persuasive letters to staff who live locally to convince them to walk rather than drive to school. In Curriculum, the children used their data from their local area walk to analyse how on track the government are for selling only electric cars. In Maths, the children began multiplying a 2 digit number by a 1 digit number.
Coming up next week:
Curriculum: the children will be going on a local area walk on Monday to see how our area could be further improved.
English: the children will be writing their final letter to Elon Musk.
Maths: the children will be continuing to work on short multiplication.
PSHE: the children will be continuing to learn where to get advice and report concerns if they are worried about their own or someone else’s personal safety (including online).
Don’t forget to keep checking Twitter to see what learning we have been up to!
P.E is every Thursday and Friday. Children need to come dressed in PE kit for the whole day. Children need to wear a pair of plain black or navy blue jogging bottoms or shorts, a plain white t-shirt and a plain black or navy blue hoodie. Children need to wear suitable shoes for PE (trainers or plimsolls).
Homework has been set today and is due next Friday.
Reading: The children will be expected to read a minimum of 3 times a week, ideally to a grown-up. This needs to be recorded in their reading records.
Spelling: The children will be expected to play a minimum of 5 games of the set spelling rule on EdShed.
Maths: The children will have a task set on My Maths.
Children are expected to access TT Rockstars a minimum of 3 times a week.
If children cannot access the internet at home, sheets can be requested for homework.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the school office.
Thank you for your continued support,
Mrs Findleton
