Good afternoon,
Team Swale and Team Nidd have had a great week. We have celebrated bonfire night and linked this to our writing. We have also thought about how to be the best versions of ourselves.
This is what we will be looking at next week in English and Maths. The children will also continue to do daily phonics lessons and guided reading.
English - We will be looking at the importance of Remembrance day. We will also be looking at the Diwali story and discussing how people celebrate Diwali. We will end the week by looking at Children in Need and what this charity does.
Maths - We will be looking at parts and wholes and what these words mean. We will then be introducing the concept of a part whole model.
PE will be on a Monday every week.
Please send your child with their book bag on Friday as they will be bringing home a guided reading book, along with a picture book for them to read at home with you. The children will have all read the book three times with an adult in school so they will be eager to share it with you at home. We politely ask that these books are returned to school on the following Friday.
Homework: Read 3 times a week for a chance to win a prize
We hope you have a lovely weekend.
