Team HUMBER (year 6)

Good afternoon, 

The children loved making their moving pictures to commemorate the Battle for Britain and the Blitz. They did an amazing job. Please check out twitter to see their finished products! 

Coming up next week: 

English:  the children will be writing their mastery piece of writing for the stories based on the evacuation of Dunkirk. 

Maths - the children will be sequencing numbers to 10,000,000. 

Curriculum - the children will be learning about how the Nazis fortified Europe and how D-Day helped to bring war in Europe to an end. 

PSHE

The children will be looking at understanding when it’s okay to break someone’s trust and who you should share with. 

Homework:

Reading: the children will be expected to read a minimum of 3 times a week, ideally to a grown up. 

Spelling: the children need to complete at least 5 spelling games per week. 

Maths: the children will have a task set on My Maths.

Children are expected to access TT Rockstars a minimum of 3 times a week.
