Good afternoon,
Team Swale and Team Nidd have had another great week at school. We have learnt lots about the Gruffalo and even made missing person poster of him!
This is what we will be looking at during the next week in English and Maths. The children will also continue to do daily phonics lessons and guided reading.
English - We will be finishing off our work on the Gruffalo by doing a Gruffalo afternoon with the children in school on Monday. We will then be looking at Autumn and thinking about the seasons. We are going to do an Autumn walk around the school grounds on Wednesday morning. During our Rainbow Reading sessions we will be reading Halloween and Autumn stories.
Maths - We will be looking at ordering numbers 0 to 5. We will be using numberblocks to do this and we will play lots of games where we practise putting all of the numbers we have learnt in order.
PE will be on a Monday every week.
Please send your child with their book bag on Friday as they will be bringing home a wordless reading book, along with a picture book for them to read at home with you. The children will have all read the book three times with an adult in school so they will be eager to share it with you at home. We politely ask that these books are returned to school on the following Friday.
Homework: Read 3 times a week for a chance to win a prize
We hope you have a lovely weekend.
