Good afternoon, 

It was lovely to chat to all parents this week to discuss your child's progress and how they have settled into the new year. Thank you to those parents that were able to attend the phonics showcase. We still have our phonics information evening on Monday 21st from 4pm-4:45pm. 

Coming up next week: 

We will be having a DT day where we will be creating a Robot toy as well as an Art day which will focus on drawing.

English- The children next week will be planning their character description based on Action man as part of an independent write where they can show off their writing skills so far

Maths - 

Year 1 will be continuing to comparing quantities and comparing them using greater than and less than symbols < and >

PSHE- Year 1 and 2 will have their NSPCC follow up lesson after last weeks assembly.

This week, your child will receive a reading book. Please can this be brought in daily with their reading records. Please read with your child 3 times a week and fill this in their reading records.
