Good afternoon,
This week the children have worked incredibly hard completing their challenge papers, we are so proud. We also finished our independent setting descriptions and published these ready to send in the post to Stonehenge! In History, we explored a range of historical sources to learn about the end of Prehistory and the start of History when the Romans invaded Britain.
Next week:
Curriculum: We will be having an Art day and DT day, both linked to our Prehistoric topic.
Maths: We will be starting to use column subtraction, without exchanging.
PE: Dove, Derwent and Foss all have PE on Wednesday and Friday.
Children need to come dressed in PE kit on Wednesday & Friday. Children need to wear a pair of plain black or navy blue jogging bottoms or shorts, a plain white t-shirt and a plain black or navy blue hoodie. Children need to wear suitable shoes for PE (trainers or plimsolls).
Homework is set on a Friday and is due in the following Friday.
Reading: The children will be expected to read a minimum of 3 times a week, ideally to a grown-up.
Spelling: The children will be expected to play a minimum of 5 games of the set spelling rule on EdShed.
Maths: The children will have a task set on My Maths.
Children are expected to access TT Rockstars or timestables.co.uk a minimum of 3 times a week.
If children cannot access the internet at home, sheets can be requested for homework.
