Team HUMBER (year 6)

Good afternoon, 

This week, in History, we had a fantastic afternoon with Mr McKenzie who joined us via Zoom and gave us some insight into his family’s WW2 experience in Germany. 

Wednesday is school photograph day. 

On Friday next week we will be visiting Eden Camp. Please ensure consent has been granted via Parent Pay. 

Coming up next week: 

English:  the children will be continuing to write their stories based on the evacuation of Dunkirk

Maths - the children will be looking at multiples of 1,000. 

Curriculum - the children will be looking at how the allies were suppressed by the Nazis and considering how different people felt about this. 

PSHE

To know that the way we react in the online world has the same impact as the real world. 

Don’t forget to keep checking Twitter to see what learning we have been up to! 

Homework:

Reading: the children will be expected to read a minimum of 3 times a week, ideally to a grown up. 

Spelling: the children need to complete at least 5 spelling games per week. 

Maths: the children will have a task set on My Maths.

Children are expected to access TT Rockstars a minimum of 3 times a week.
