Good afternoon,
Team Swale and Team Nidd have had another great week in school. We had a visit from KS1 this week and they told us all about the crayons who quit!
This is what we will be looking at during the next week in English and Maths. The children will also continue to do daily phonics lessons and guided reading.
English - We will be starting to look at the story of the Gruffalo. The children will use the animals from the story to help them to retell it and they will also think about times they have been brave like the mouse! During our Rainbow Reading sessions we will be reading Aliens Love Underpants.
Maths - We will continue to sing counting songs and play number games. We will also be meeting Number 4 and exploring how the numberblocks we have already met can be used to make the Number 4. We will make 4 in lots of different ways and create a 'four world'.
PE will be on a Monday every week.
Please send your child with their book bag on Friday as they will be bringing home a wordless reading book. The children will have all read the book three times with an adult in school so they will be eager to share it with you at home. We politely ask that these books are returned to school on the following Friday.
Homework: Read 3 times a week for a chance to win a prize
We hope you have a lovely weekend.
