Good afternoon,
This week, in History, we had a fantastic afternoon with Mr McKenzie who joined us via Zoom and gave us some insight into his family’s WW2 experience in Germany. In English, the children have started their stories about being a soldier on the beach of Dunkirk. In Science, we have learnt all about water resistance. In Maths, the children have continued to look at hundredths.
Wednesday is school photograph day.
On Friday next week we will be visiting Eden Camp. Please ensure consent has been granted via Parent Pay.
Next week:
Curriculum :the children will be looking at how the allies were suppressed by the Nazis and considering how different people felt about this.

Maths: the children will be learning about partitioning decimals and then using place value knowledge to compare metres and centimetres
PSHE:the children will be learning about knowing where to get advice and where to report concerns if they are worried about their own or someone else’s safety, including online.
PE is taught on Thursdays and Fridays
Children need to come dressed in PE kit for the whole day. Children need to wear a pair of plain black or navy blue jogging bottoms or shorts, a plain white t-shirt and a plain black or navy blue hoodie. Children need to wear suitable shoes for PE (trainers or plimsolls).
Homework has been set today and is due next Friday.
Reading: The children will be expected to read a minimum of 3 times a week, ideally to a grown-up. This needs to be recorded in their reading records.
Spelling: The children will be expected to play a minimum of 5 games of the set spelling rule on EdShed.
Maths: The children will have a task set on My Maths.
Children are expected to access TT Rockstars a minimum of 3 times a week.
If children cannot access the internet at home, sheets can be requested for homework.
