Good afternoon, 

The children this week have loved creating questions for parents about their childhood in preparation for the toy museum showcase. 

Coming up next week: 

Y1 will take part in a balance bike workshop on Monday

We are looking forward to seeing parents for the museum showcase. We also hope you can show us some of the toys from your childhood. 

Tuesday 1st October at 2:45pm- Wharfe

Wednesday 2nd October at 2:45pm- Aire

Thursday 3rd October at 2:45pm- Ouse

English- The children will begin some narrative writing focusing on the book 'Traction Man' Y1 will focus on coherent sentences with adjectives. Y2 will focus on purposeful vocabulary choices. 

Maths - 

Year 1 will be exploring representing a range of quantities using different objects

Year 2 will be looking at calculations within 20.

PSHE-

Year 1 will be learning about how some parts of our body our private and a recap on the PANTS rule

Vocabulary- Private parts ,Pants , Body , Rule  Safe adult , Private, Belongs , No,  Speak up , Help , Secrets

Year 2 will be learning to know that someone’s body belongs to them and they can say ‘no’ to being touched and to know the PANTs rule and how it can keep someone safe. 

Vocabulary-  Body, Rules, Private parts , No, Safe, Touch, Safe adult , Surprise, Speak up, Secrets, Talk , Upset, Pants 

This week, your child will receive a reading book. Please can this be brought in daily with their reading records. Please read with your child 3 times a week and fill this in their reading records.
