Good afternoon,
This week, in History, we looked at who the allied forces were in WW2. The children have started to look at the evacuation of Dunkirk and how soldiers would have felt. We generated vocabulary for our learning wall which will come in handy when we write our stories! In Science, after learning about what air resistance is last week, we conducted an investigation which showed us the effects of air resistance on a falling object. In Maths, the children have been looking at hundredths.
Next week:
Curriculum: the children will be joined virtually by Mr McKenzie, who will take on the role of an air raid warden and then share his understanding of the war from a German perspective - he has German parent
English: the children will be continuing to write their stories based on the evacuation of Dunkirk
