Good afternoon,
Team Swale and Team Nidd have had another great week in school. We had lots of fun taking part in Bikeability on Wednesday where we all learnt lots of new skills. We also enjoyed sampling Team Humber’s delicious paella and listening to a Spanish story as part of languages day.
This is what we will be looking at during the next week in English and Maths. The children will also continue to do daily phonics lessons and guided reading.
English - We will continue to look at the story of Elmer and will be planning a birthday party for him. During our Rainbow Reading sessions we will be reading Beegu and thinking about how she is feeling in different parts of the story.
Maths - We will continue to sing counting songs and play number games. We will also be meeting Number 3 and making a ‘three world’ and practice writing the numbers we have learnt so far.
PE will be on a Monday every week.
Please send your child with their book bag on Friday as they will be bringing home a wordless reading book. The children will have all read the book three times with an adult in school so they will be eager to share it with you at home. We politely ask that these books are returned to school on the following Friday.
Homework: Read 3 times a week for a chance to win a prize
We hope you have a lovely weekend.
