STAYNOR HALL ACADEMY NEWSLETTER
Friday 13th September 2024
Dear Families,
Our children in Tiny Steps, Nursery and Reception have now completed their first full week with us. We are so proud of the children and how settled they have been and the confidence and resilience they have shown during their first days in a new classroom. We are equally proud of our older children in school who have been caring and considerate towards the younger children, always being role models and helping wherever they can. It's an absolute pleasure to see the children playing and working together so well.
Please can I remind you that when you are sent the weekly newsletter that also gives information for the following week from your child's class teacher. Please select the tab at the top right of the page called 'weekly class information'.
Please can I remind all families that for the safety of children and adults we ask that children do not ride their scooters and bikes on the playground and that the trim trail is not played with outside of the school day, we welcome your support with this.
Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Winter
If you have a concern about the safety or welfare of a child in school please contact Mrs Winter,

Last week we shared information to support with keeping your children safe online. Phones, computers and tablets are an essential part of everyday lives for adults and children. Here in school the children regularly use chromebooks to support them in their learning and to help them with their research.
As children have regular access to online devices in school, we have in place a filtering and monitoring system to reduce the risk of children accessing inappropriate material and also to alert us, should children attempt to access inappropriate content.
For this week I have attached a poster with tips and guidance to using and reviewing parental controls on different devices to make the devices safer for young people.
If you have any questions, queries or concerns about the technology your child uses, please do not hesitate to speak to me.
Warm regards
Steve Metcalfe

You may have noticed that our gates are now numbered.
This is to help when we communicate when gates have been left closed and reduce confusion.
Gate One is located next to the Main School Office
Gate Two is the gate that many of you use by the road leading to the playground
Gate Three is the rear gate next to the community playing field.
