If you have a concern about the safety or welfare of a child in school please contact myself,
Mr Metcalfe or Mrs Danbury who are the safeguarding leads.
Dear parents and carers,
As you saw we had amazing attendance last week and the children were able to celebrate this in our weekly attendance assembly on Wednesday.
Next week in our attendance assembly I will be sharing our plans for our attendance countdown to Christmas. We want to continue to support children being in and being involved in all the upcoming Christmas activities.
I will share more on this next week.
It has been positive to speak to children who have been using their voucher for Selby Bowl.
Thank you
Steve Metcalfe

As the school continues to grow the playground is getting busier and busier and it is important we keep everyone safe.
And please can children not play on the wooden trim trail before and after school.

Dear Parents and carers,
Last week I shared information to parents regarding the online game Fortnite. This week I have shared some information regarding an other online game; Roblox.
Roblox is played many of our children and is hugely popular across all age ranges (even our Early Years children). This is another game that is played online with people across the world and this comes with risks. It's also a game that uses its own virtual currency, which again can cause issues.
The information below contains plenty of useful information about Roblox and what concerns may arise from this game.
Please come speak to myself if you have any questions or concerns around online gaming.
Warm regards
Steve Metcalfe
Totalling up the coppers and loose change that created our 32 Pudsey Bears last week, with all the donations made via parent pay, Staynor Hall raised a total of £228.04 for Children in Need.
Thank you to everyone at Staynor Hall Academy for your continued support to help out these charities. You have all made such a different in other children's lives.
What's Cooking?
Team Dove have continued to attend Cook School this week. They have been making butternut squash soup. The children were able to look at lots of different types of squash and were surprised to find out that they are fruits and not a vegetable. They have tried many new skills including peeling, cutting and grating. They were all in agreement that butternut squash is very hard to cut up! Luckily Mrs Soper was able to do this job! The children learnt about safety in the kitchen and worked really hard. I am very proud of them all and their soup was delicious.
I will start to work with Team Derwent next week. They will also be making the Super Squashy Soup.
