Reception (Nidd & Swale)

Good afternoon, 

Team Swale and Team Nidd have had another super week. We have loved looking at our new story 'Room on the Broom' in English this week. 

This is what we will be looking at next week in English and Maths. The children will also continue to do daily phonics lessons and guided reading.

English - We will be continuing to look at the story of Winnie and Wilbur in English next week. We learning about labels and how to label a picture. 

Maths - We will be looking at 2D shapes in maths next week. We will be going on a shape hunt around school, making our own 2D shapes and drawing 2D shapes! 

In PSHE next week we will be discussing families and thinking about how families can all be different. 

PE will be on a Monday every week. 

Please send your child with their book bag on Friday as they will be bringing home a guided reading book, along with a picture book for them to read at home with you. The children will have all read the book three times with an adult in school so they will be eager to share it with you at home. We politely ask that these books are returned to school on the following Friday.
