Team HUMBER (year 6)

Good afternoon, 

The children are enjoying their new topic on ‘Why is the view from our window changing?’. They’re very keen to learn about climate change and then write to Elon Musk. 

The children have also worked incredibly hard with their challenge papers. Please continue to reassure them that they are just being used to see where they might need extra support. 

Don’t forget to keep checking Twitter to see what learning we have been up to! 

Coming up next week: 

English:  the children will be continuing to look at persuasive writing, where we will be writing a letter to Elon Musk about electric cars. 

Maths - the children will be looking at formal multiplication and division. 

Curriculum - the children will be looking at why we need to build more homes. 

PSHE

The children will be looking at how to de-escalate situations by making good choices when they see something is going wrong. 

Homework:

Reading: the children will be expected to read a minimum of 3 times a week, ideally to a grown up. 

Spelling: the children need to complete at least 5 spelling games per week. 

Maths: the children will have a task set on My Maths.

Children are expected to access TT Rockstars a minimum of 3 times a week.
