Team HUMBER (year 6)

Good afternoon, 

Well, what a fabulous first few days of the school year the children have had. Residential was amazing and all the children challenged themselves and overcame fears. It was such a pleasure to see! 

Coming up next week: 

English: the children will be exploring poems based on World War 2. 

Maths - the children will be exploring missing values and the basics of algebra. 

Curriculum - the children will be staying out first topic, ‘Who started in World War 2?’. We'll be looking at artifacts from the time. 

Science - the children will be learning about gravity. 

PSHE

Year 6 will be following some bespoke PSHE for the first few weeks. Next week will be looking at what rights and responsibilities are and the difference between them. 

Homework will be set from next Friday.
