Reception (Nidd & Swale)

Good afternoon, 

It has been lovely to meet all of the new Reception children this week! They have had an amazing first few days at school, we hope they have all enjoyed it! We can't wait for them to have their first full week at school next week. 

This is what we will be looking at during the next two weeks in English and Maths. The children will also do daily phonics lessons.

English - We will be looking at the story of the Colour Monster and using this to learn about our emotions. 

Maths - We will be doing lots of maths songs and games to see what maths knowledge the children already have. We will also be looking at the number 1. 

PE will be on a Monday every week.
