About the Class

At East Sac County Jr/Sr High School, all 7th-8th graders are required to take 2 credits of music courses. They have an option of band, or any of the 2 following classes: choir, ukulele, or general music.

 Students that choose to take ukulele will learn how to tune and properly hold their ukulele, pick individual notes, and strum chords. A big focus in ukulele is developing music literacy, which can transfer to any future music courses students choose to take. 

Ukulele students will perform at the holiday concert in December, and do a spring showcase performance at the end of the school year.
