About the Class

At East Sac County Jr/Sr High School, all 7th-8th graders are required to participate in at least one music course. They have an option of choir, band, or ukulele. Students that choose to take ukulele will learn how to tune and properly hold their ukulele, pick individual notes, and strum chords. Students will also work on learning to read music and improve their music literacy throughout the course. We will play a variety of music, and give one performance each semester.
